To introduce myself to new subscribers.

I am a 76 year old silver surfer who is just recovering from a kidney cancer operation.

I had my right kidney removed in December 2025. A recent CT scan has shown me to be cancer free at this time. Although there is no guarantee that the cancer will not return, I feel fortunate that I will be monitored on a regular basis with ongoing scans.

At this point in time I am just getting back to full fitness and looking forward to getting back out hiking the Aberdeenshire hills and also following my other passion of visiting old ruined castles.

This website will be my record of past and present adventures with some photos and videos. The featured photo was taken on a cloudy day from the trig point at the hill fort on Tap O Noth.

It will also include some links to my other love “country and Irish music.”
